I just thought this was precious, so I decided to share it.

Yum-Thumb!

Although Bri found her thumb before her one month birthday, she hasn't been finding it consistently until more recently. She's hasn't used it to soothe herself until this past week. This week, however, I have noticed her starting to cry and then settling down before I get to her. Upon arriving at her side, she's sucking away at her thumb-always her right thumb (so far, Gracie always sucks her left-I wonder if one will be left handed and the other right?)

Is It Me. . .

. . .or does this doll look a lot like Brianna?
I must admit, there have been many times that I've seen the doll out of the corner of my eye and thought Bri was face down on the floor!

Overachiever

I got this email from BabyCenter today: Your baby is becoming very handy. Although she's already aware of her hands, she's now inspecting them like Sherlock Holmes. She turns them around, the better to look at her fingers from all sides. She opens and shuts her fists, watching each finger as it moves up and down. To help your baby develop her blossoming hand-eye coordination, try dangling a toy just out of reach so she has to grab for it.

Can I just say, Brianna found her thumb over a month ago? She may have had a little encouragement by watching her big sister, who loves her thumb. She still doesn't find it every time she looks for it, but it's usually right where she left it, waiting for her.
