Window Paint

Gracie and I painted our patio window today. She was a bit timid at first (and who can blame her?), but got pretty into it once I showed her how it's done.

She even figured out that it doesn't dry right away, so she could apply the paint and then fingerpaint on the window!

Our completed masterpiece-for now. Until I clean it off and we start all over!

Edible Necklace

Gracie helped me string cereal to create an edible necklace for her. Despite having a lot of fun stringing it up, she lost interest once it was finished.

Cookie!

Gracie and I made cookies last night. Despite the fact that I forgot some ingredients and then ran to Wal-Mart with the oven on and chocolate chips on the stove (oops) they turned out pretty good! Gracie seemed to like them-then again, I also caught her taking handfuls of sugar and trying to eat it before I could stop her!

Binoculars

I made Gracie a pair of binoculars out of two toilet paper rolls and some string. I thought she'd be really into it, but she didn't really care about it at all. She didn't even try looking through them, but did have fun trying to poke me in the eye when I looked through them! Maybe she'll like using them for an adventure when we go for a walk once it's warmer outside again.

Toy Box

I finally finished Brianna's toy box. I started it over the summer but put it on pause to get a good start to my new job. Of course, Gracie claimed it.

Painter

Some of you may remember the best Christmas present we got for Gracie; her AquaDoodle Mat. I left some paint brushes out the other day, and Gracie got curious about them. Daddy had the fantastic idea of giving her a bowl of water and letting her try using paint brushes on the AquaDoodle. It's perfect! We lost the pen that goes with it (big surprise), and now she gets to work her fine motor skills in a new way. It also helps that she seems to love it and it's sparked a new interest in her slightly forgotten Christmas present.

On a side note, has anyone else noticed my kid is alway half naked? Seriously, what's the diversion to clothes? It's just not worth the battle some days.
