Applesauce Head

Brian: "Jodi! Quick! Grab the camera! We've got a photo for our Capitol One Visa!"

Gracie seems to think this will get her into the bathtub.

She was right.

Photo Op!

One of the many benefits of bringing my girlies to my parent's for babysitting is that my dad takes great pictures of them. Here are some from yesterday, I saved my fav two for the end.

I may be a little bias, but I think she's super smart!

My little artist discovered the joy of writing on walls. . .

And then the joy of cleaning the walls!

I got the exersaucer out of storage today. . .

Gracie thought it was great fun.

Brianna's first moments in the exersaucer.

Hey, this is kinda cool. . .

Lovin' it! Look how big she is!

Big Girl!

When Josey visited last weekend, she let Bri check out her big sister's high chair.
Boy, did she love it!

Bri Leigh

I just thought this was precious, so I decided to share it.

Although Bri found her thumb before her one month birthday, she hasn't been finding it consistently until more recently. She's hasn't used it to soothe herself until this past week. This week, however, I have noticed her starting to cry and then settling down before I get to her. Upon arriving at her side, she's sucking away at her thumb-always her right thumb (so far, Gracie always sucks her left-I wonder if one will be left handed and the other right?)

This pic didn't look so dark on my phone. Bri sucking her thumb at Nana's house on Thursday.

Sucking away earlier today.

Thanks for the new coloring book, Mike and Margaret!

Is It Me. . .

. . .or does this doll look a lot like Brianna?
I must admit, there have been many times that I've seen the doll out of the corner of my eye and thought Bri was face down on the floor!

I got this email from BabyCenter today: Your baby is becoming very handy. Although she's already aware of her hands, she's now inspecting them like Sherlock Holmes. She turns them around, the better to look at her fingers from all sides. She opens and shuts her fists, watching each finger as it moves up and down. To help your baby develop her blossoming hand-eye coordination, try dangling a toy just out of reach so she has to grab for it.

Can I just say, Brianna found her thumb over a month ago? She may have had a little encouragement by watching her big sister, who loves her thumb.
She still doesn't find it every time she looks for it, but it's usually right where she left it, waiting for her.
