Eatin' Fish

Jerry found a fishing pole in his toy box and happily brought it to me. I asked him if he was going to eat it or release it and he responded with a silly gulping sound. I quickly got out my video function on my camera and took this video.

It's Good to Have a Sister. . .

. . . for those days when you really don't want to lift your own arms to eat.

Josey & Caity

Our dear friend, Josey came to visit this summer. This time she brought one of her friends, Caity. We are so happy to have a new friend! In addition to having a ton of fun with Josey and Caity, Caity took a LOT of really great pictures of our week together. Here are some, in no particular order.
Running to home at one of her last two T-ball games.

He's just too cute!

My little blue eyed boy, swimming on our turtle.

Gracie was upset that I only had a plain band-aid, so I was drawing happy faces on it!

Such an angel...

Josey's one year pic. She has one like this of each of my kiddos.

Yea! Josey's here!

huh?

Besties

Gracie loves the giraffe Josey & Caity bought her. She named him Babycakes.

Post Halloween

Daddy and I hit the post Halloween sales for dress up costumes for the kids. We have lots of dress up stuff, but it's all girly, and we're pretty into super heroes these days. Among others, we got these. . .

Wolverine

 Jasmine
 Bumblebee
Snow White

Dress Up

I love it when my girls break out the dress up stuff. Yeah, it's messy and sometimes takes a while to get cleaned up, but it's so much fun! Last night they got it out to become fairy princesses. They each got a wand and took turns turning me into things. They were pretty nice, and stuck mostly to turning me into a princess and back into mommy.

Seeing if Gracie's prince spell has worn off.

Playdate!

Shirley came over today! This always calls for a fun activity, and I've been meaning to do this painting activity with my girls all summer so it seemed like the perfect time. I rolled tennis balls in paint and put them into the pool and the girls gently tilted the pool to make the ball roll over the paper that was taped to the bottom of the pool. The older girls did awesome, and seemed to really like the process but Bee was slightly tortured that there were balls and she wasn't allowed to grab.

Shirley declared that she was making the painting for her Daddy, so Gracie agreed that the next painting was for her Daddy. What a lucky couple of Daddies!

When all the painting fun was over the kids started begging to swim. I tried to talk them out of it, saying they'd get cold, but all three were asking so sweetly that I got the suits and hose out. Funny, though, as soon as we were situated and I started to clean the patio they all wanted to "help" clean the patio. I gave one of them a sponge to wipe off the picnic table and went in to start lunch. When I came back out, all three of them were using the water to "clean" the patio! It's never been cleaner :)

Mini Ninja

Bee cracked me up today when she grabbed Gracie's Karate uniform off the desk and proceeded to put it on. She asked me to help with the pants and belt and then walked around the room kicking the air and yelling "hi-ya!" Of course, she toned it down as soon as I got the camera on, but towards the end of the video she does a couple of cute kicks.

Sillies

Gracie is having a bit of trouble in Karate class. She runs around and doesn't listen to her teachers very well. I decided to take her to a park before class to get her "sillies" out.

Three!

My big girl turns three today!
This morning Daddy and I were reminding her how to put up three fingers, and told her "you aren't this many (two fingers) anymore, now you're this many (three fingers)."
She started crying and said "But I want to be this many (two fingers)!"
So silly.
Her party is on Saturday. I'll be sure to post after the party.

Kissie Face

This is Bee's kissie face. At bedtime I'll tell her it's time to get a kissie from Daddy and Gracie and she'll make this face as she runs across the whole apartment looking for them. She also does it randomly throughout the day whenever she wants a kiss from someone. Too cute!

Powdered Tempera+Bathtub+2 Toddlers=BAD IDEA

I think I dyed my children today. After filling the tub and scrubbing the kids 5-6 times they both still have a slight orange tint to them. Note to self: NO POWDERED TEMPERA.

Ready!

I was meeting my sister-in-law and her daughters at a friends house to get photos taken of our girls. I had them both ready, everything packed and in the car. All I had to do was get the kids in the car. I turned around just in time to see Gracie jam her fingers into one of my lipsticks and wipe it across Brianna's face.

Dunce

Well, don't I just feel like a dunce.
I was talking with Daddy yesterday when I asked his input on a theme for Bri's party. After he stopped laughing. . . ahem. . . he said something along the lines of "buzzz, hum, I don't know, what should the theme beeeeeee?" Duh. Talk about the perfect theme just buzzing around my head without being noticed. It will be easy, cute, and perfect for the little baby called Bumblebee.
