Week 29

Wow, only eleven weeks until Brianna's due date! Yikes! I had my last appointment with my amazing doc this past Tuesday. It's sad for me to leave her, as she is easily the best doctor I have ever had and she delivers at the hospital two miles from here-which is renowned for it's prenatal care. The trade off is worth it, though and we are excited that we will be leaving here in only one week to start the newest chapter of our lives, home with beloved friends and family. I have my next appointment with my new doctor on August 5th, as the appointments are now scheduled every two weeks instead of every month. We have had two showings on our apartment so far, and I am optimistic that one of them will turn into renters-hopefully in August so we don't have to pay two rents.

BabyCenter says:
Your baby is growing rapidly now. This week he weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is getting bigger to accommodate his growing brain — which is busy developing billions of neurons. Every day, about 200 milligrams of calcium is deposited in your baby's skeleton, which is now hardening. With this rapid growth, it's no surprise that your baby's nutritional needs reach their peak during this trimester.
